For a special treat, I will make something more than coffee and Dan and I will eat breakfast in the sunroom. We open all of the windows and enjoy the breeze while we eat. Recently I made these awesome grain-free waffles for breakfast in the sunroom. I like making waffles during the warm weather because it doesn’t involve sweating over a hot stove.

It’s also a great picnic dish partnered with a nice white wine. This quiche is packed with spinach, Italian sausage, and more for a nutritionally full meal. You can make […]
Sweet corn was a staple in our house when I was growing up. In Pennsylvania, local corn can be found in grocery stores and farmer’s markets in July and August. I guess this is why sweet corn always makes me think of summer. My dad’s uncle had a farm where he grew corn and every summer, he would deliver a truckload […]

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is difficult in a world where it is easy to eat fast food, guzzle sodas and veg out in front of the TV with peanut butter cups. At least I know it is for me, that is why I have been sharing ideas for getting in shape with your spouse and cleaning up your diet.
It has been above 90 degrees all week and doesn’t look like it will cool down any time soon. We are fortunate enough to have air conditioning in our home, so we are pretty comfortable indoors. However, we can’t stay inside all day. Our beagle, Honey, won’t allow that! She loves to be outdoors and is up for a walk anytime we are willing to take her.
