When I was a teenager working at a retirement home after school, I saw elderly women who had their hair dyed on a regular basis. I never understood why. I told everyone who would listen that I wasn’t going to do that when my hair turned gray. I was going to let it grow and proudly wear my beautiful long silver hair.
I turned 41 on my last birthday, and I have come to realize that there are so many things that people don’t tell you about getting older.
