The day I brought our beagle, Honey, home for the first time I had to drive 2 hours with her in the car. As a first-time dog owner, I didn’t know what to expect and hadn’t thought about much ahead of time. After about an hour, I stopped at a gas station to let her out to “stretch her legs”. I wanted to give her some water but hadn’t brought a bowl with me. I ended up buying paper plates and bottled water at the gas station and poured the water on the plate for her to drink. I can still remember how unprepared I felt!
Not too long ago, I introduced our dog Honey to Natural Balance treats and shared our experience with you here on the blog. We still buy these treats for her since she loved them so much. If you are like us, your dog is a big part of your life (she is our furbaby). If we could, we would take her on vacation with us everywhere we go. Okay, I would… not sure about my husband. When our beagle, Honey, was around 2 years old, we took her camping with us. I had no clue about camping with a dog, and learned a lot from the experience! Our beagle, Honey, had to have a lump removed from her ear about a week ago. She came home from the vet wearing the “cone of shame” so that she wouldn’t be able to scratch her ear and open the stitches. She’s worn one before, after she was spayed, but she was very little and I’m sure doesn’t remember.

However, what some people may not realize (including me) is that as your dog enters its senior years (age 7+), you should switch to a food for senior dogs. Why? According to the ASPCA, as a dog ages some of the following health issues may arise and many of them can be managed with diet.
If you’ve never taken your dog to PetSmart® before, you need to do it. Honey has so much fun whenever we go. So many great smells and so many new friends to make. Plus they have everything you need for your dog.

All opinions are mine alone. #ProPlanPet #CollectiveBias When our beagle, Honey, transitioned from puppy food to adult food, we had a hard time figuring out what food would be best for her. There are so many choices out […]
