Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
This is a popular job interview question, but have you ever thought about it for you personal life? Do you set goals for your future? Do you go after them?
Majority of newlywed couples may easily answer this question. “Having children.” Well, my husband and I aren’t the typical newlywed couple. Why you ask? Well, we do not wish to have children. We both have many reasons, and have felt this way since we were children ourselves. We come from loving families with siblings and yet we don’t wish to create a (stereotypical) family of our own. We are happy with our furbaby (our beagle).
10 years from now…
So, where do I see our marriage in 10 years? Well, I am hoping it is more of the same. Not to mean that I am looking for a monotonous life, but I am happy with our life right now. We own a home, and it is our forever home. We made sure to find a house that we could see ourselves living in until we move to a “happening” 55+ neighborhood 🙂
We both love dogs and very much enjoy doting on our beagle. We will always have a dog, no question about it. We love them and have often considered getting a second dog…we aren’t there yet. One is fine for us at this point.
We both want to travel. We need to get our budget completely set so that we can have our traveling money at the ready, but we have a list of where we want to go. I have always wanted to go to Greece and he would like to go to Italy so they are at the top of the list. I guarantee that we will have been to (at least) those two places in the next 10 years.
What do you see for you and your spouse in the next 10 years? I’d love for you to share in the comments below.
