The day I brought our beagle, Honey, home for the first time I had to drive 2 hours with her in the car. As a first-time dog owner, I didn’t know what to expect and hadn’t thought about much ahead of time. After about an hour, I stopped at a gas station to let her out to “stretch her legs”. I wanted to give her some water but hadn’t brought a bowl with me. I ended up buying paper plates and bottled water at the gas station and poured the water on the plate for her to drink. I can still remember how unprepared I felt!
As a chronic migraine sufferer, I have missed out on many important events in my life. I’ve missed holiday celebrations, dates, and birthday parties. It is upsetting, not only for me but for my husband and family as well. Early last year my husband and I were traveling to his parents’ house a couple hours away. Everyone in the family was going out to dinner to celebrate his mother’s birthday. While in the car, I started to develop a migraine. I couldn’t believe it. I was going to miss out on another celebration!
