San Antonio, the city for lovers. Oh, wait, that’s not San Antonio, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make some romance! Whether you have a romantic dinner along the River Walk, or explore what’s in the Hill Country, you’ll both enjoy what San Antonio has to offer. You can even plan your own Bachelorette-inspired date.
Date ideas – San Antonio
Cave tour
Go on a cave tour in the Cave Without a Name. The Cave is open 7 days a week, with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. It’ll have to be a daytime date, because the last tour is at 4PM.
Historic district
I really love downtown San Antonio, especially the King William Historic District. It’s located on the south bank of the San Antonio River, and offers amazing sunset views. You’ll find art galleries, museums, and quaint cafes when you visit. Bike the River Walk Trail while you’re there. Oh, and there’s a B&B if you’re interested in making it a full weekend date!
Rodeo
Attend a rodeo. Some people might not find the rodeo very romantic, but chances are your husband will enjoy it. And when hubby is happy, everyone’s happy, right? You might enjoy the rodeo, too, you never know!
Get an adrenaline rush
Thrill seeker? Visit Six Flags, Morgan’s Wonderland, or Splash Town
Go dancing
If you’re feeling like two-steppin’, head to Floore’s and dance the night away! Floore’s is most famous for hosting legendary performers such as Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, and even Elvis Presley.
Carriage ride
Take a romantic carriage ride in downtown. You’ll learn about the history of San Antonio, and even hear some ghost stories.
Learn more about history
History buffs? You’ll both enjoy visiting the Alamo. Book a Battlefield Tour or just wing it with some of the other free and family-friendly activities they have.
Farmer’s Market
Visit a farmer’s market together. Buy a few goodies and have a picnic at the park afterwards.
Ghost tour
As long as you aren’t a scaredy cat, the absolute perfect San Antonio date isn’t complete without a ghost tour.
P.S. We have some budget date night ideas, too, so don’t forget to check those out!
