I love Back to School time. But you don’t have kids, Stacey! Yes, I know we don’t have kids, but I still love Back to School time. Why? Because I have so many great items I can stock up on at the grocery store!
I stopped by ACME yesterday and started my August stock pile. Right now they are celebrating their 76th Anniversary with a HUGE sale. Just take a look at the haul I picked up:
Since they had select varieties and sizes of Quaker products on sale for $1.49 each when you buy 6, I picked up 8 boxes of cereal, 2 boxes of instant oatmeal and 2 boxes of granola bars. On top of this sale, I also found coupons on some of the boxes for $1 off of 2 Quaker products. This means I got all 12 of these for only $11.88! All of these items can be found in the hot and cold cereal aisles. I shopped at ACME, but you can also find great deals at Albertsons Huge Anniversary Sale, Safeway, Vons or Shaws!
It makes sense that these items would be on sale in August because kids are going back to school. They will want their favorite breakfasts and snacks. It just so happens that Dan and I love these things too… win!
What else can you stock up on in August?
Clearance sale items
Make sure to look for summer products on clearance this month. You can score deals on sunscreen, insect repellent, backyard items like patio furniture, hammocks and grill supplies.
Even if you don’t have kids, you can always use pens, pencils, erasers, paper, notebooks, note cards, etc. These items can all be found at ACME as well!
In addition to the hot and cold cereal and granola bars, you can also stock up on ice cream, pudding, peanut butter, jelly and more.
Look for seasonal produce to be on sale. Here is a list of produce you can find on sale this month (via Woman’s Day):
Shop the HUGE Anniversary sale at Acme and stock up on your favorite Pepsi and PepsiCo brands 7/29-8/11. What products will you be stocking up on in August? I’d love to get more ideas!
