About a year ago, I decided to try eating more real food and work in organic fruits and vegetables when possible. I’m not a strict “clean eater” by any means, but I have been enjoying making more of my own recipes and buying less processed store-bought food. When I first started doing this, Dan agreed but was definitely a bit hesitant.

Let me start this post by telling you that the easiest way to simplify cleaning your home is to have a husband like mine: Dan does all the cleaning in our household. I know I am a very lucky woman and that there are wives out there who are less fortunate when it comes to cleaning.

One week until Halloween! Do you have your costume picked out? Are you and your spouse dressing up together or did you each pick your own fun outfit to celebrate the day? This year, my husband and I don’t have any costumes. No Halloween parties to attend and I’m not sure if we will be getting any trick-or-treaters. Of course, that doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy the holiday! We will be watching a scary movie, munching on yummy candy and drinking these Pomegranate S’Cream Sodas – a bloody good treat!
Fall is my husband’s favorite season. As I mourn the loss of warm weather, swimming, and wearing shorts, Dan revels in the changing leaves and crisp air. Our beagle, Honey, is right there with him. She enjoys basking in the warm sun and sniffing the wind while the leaves fall off the trees. Although fall can bring beautiful scenery, holiday fun, and tons of good food it can also bring some risks for pets.
As September is coming to a close, you are probably looking forward to the falling leaves and dressing up for Halloween.
