With January in full swing, many of you (like me) are probably starting to waver from your New Year’s resolution to eat healthier. The struggle is strong, and it doesn’t help that the football games and get-togethers are ramping up. I think that one of the easiest ways to stick to a healthier lifestyle is to stick to healthier snacks. Snacks are my downfall. I crave sweets, salty treats, and cheesy goodness. So, if I can incorporate these into my snacks and still keep it healthy, I am thrilled. That is exactly whatWeight Watchers Light Mozzarella String Cheese does for me—it is healthy AND satisfying!
I love Italian food, and I especially love eating at Italian restaurants. Fortunately for me, my husband loves Italian food too. Of course, in order for me to make a dinner that has authentic Italian flavors, I would need to spend a good amount of time in the kitchen… which you know I do not like!
As I have (repeatedly) mentioned, I come from a long line of dessert eaters, and when I look at a menu I usually look at the dessert section first so that I can plan my meal accordingly. The first time I saw a mini dessert on a restaurant menu, I remember thinking, “Are you kidding? I could eat 20 of those!” Then someone pointed out how you could order a few different ones and enjoy multiple desserts. I was hooked!
I’m sure most of you have heard of Philadelphia cheesesteaks and have eaten a variation at some point in your life. What you may not know, is that Philadelphia is also known for their roast pork sandwiches. These sandwiches are made with roast pork that has been seasoned, slow cooked through the day and piled into a crusty long roll. In addition to the juicy pork, they have melted sharp provolone and are most often topped with broccoli rabe.
