When I was growing up, there was nothing better after a full day of sledding and snow fort building than a mug of hot chocolate. My sister and I would come home with frozen fingers and runny noses and stir our hot chocolate with candy canes. I still enjoy hot chocolate on cold winter nights even though I don’t build snow forts anymore.

If you are anything like me, you’ve probably been out on the town with your husband and realized that you need something like Advil or a stain remover. You look in your purse, and either (a) can’t find it, or (b) realize you never put it in there. Now you are stuck with a headache or big stain for the rest of your date night, right? This has happened to me too many times to count.
Halloween is usually about the costumes and kids for me. Who am I kidding… it is all about the candy! Growing up, I can remember my mom buying candy to pass out to trick-or-treaters and every year she would have to go back out and buy more. She would hide it from us, but she couldn’t hide it from herself. She would slowly eat the candy every time she walked past the hiding place. We are a family of sweet-lovers, and candy is obviously no exception.
Recently, I was looking for a way to spruce up the empty wall above the toilet in the bathroom. I knew I wanted to hang some art, but didn’t have much money to spend. Okay, I had about $10 to spend. Out of sheer desperation and an almost empty wallet, this marble art project was born.
After the newlywed phase wears off, you begin to settle in to your marriage. You get comfortable and that can be a great feeling. However, you can’t let things cool down. Although things may not be hot and heavy on a daily basis, it should still be hot!
My husband and I have been married for almost 6 years now. In fact, our anniversary is tomorrow. Sometimes it takes an effort to get past the day to day events and spend some intimate time together. Recently I came up with a cute idea for letting each other know when we’re in the mood.
I know it is August, but I have started thinking about Halloween. I blame it on Pinterest… damn pinners always looking to the future! I was able to resist getting sucked into the ‘Christmas in July’ pinning fest, but Halloween is just too much fun. I especially LOVE couples’ costumes. Some people can be really […]
Decorating your newlywed home can be fun; especially if you create some of your own art. This DIY ampersand art is so easy and can be used in many different ways. If you haven’t used Washi Tape before, you are in for a treat. It is easy to work with and packs a punch when it comes to color. I would suggest either using bright colors and designs like I did for mine, or going with a one-color theme with varying patterns. No matter what you choose, stick with a plain frame so that it doesn’t clash with the tape.
As I’ve mentioned in the past, I am not a very crafty person. However, I really enjoy the chalkboard trend I’ve seen all over Pinterest. Before our Mother’s Day get-together yesterday, I decided to try to personalize a beverage tub I was bringing for our Cokes. I thought I’d try a chalkboard finish and see what I could do!
