Now that it is mid-July, it is starting to get pretty hot here in Pennsylvania. This means that any time spent outdoors results in sweat – whether I am active or not. I love laying in our hammock on the porch and reading a book, but as it has gotten hotter, I find that I am going out there less and less. The only way I can get myself out there is by going earlier in the morning before it has gotten too hot, and bringing a nice cold drink to keep me company.
The problem with this, is that early in the morning I want coffee or tea, not ice water. As you can imagine, hot coffee is not conducive to keeping cool on a hot day. That is where my Keurig coffee maker comes into play. You may be thinking – What? Keurig makes HOT coffee and tea. Yes, that is true. However, they also have many Brew Over Ice Options. This includes iced coffee, iced tea, lemonade, flavored iced coffees and iced teas and low calorie drinks. Just look for the symbol below wherever you buy your Keurig K-Cups.
I found a whole bunch of options at my local Walmart. If you don’t see them in the grocery aisle, make sure to check out the kitchen aisle. I found this display where the kitchen appliances are found.
There were many #BrewOverIce options. I finally decided on the Diet Snapple Peach Iced Tea because I love to drink bottles of this when I can afford to buy them, and the Sweet and Creamy Regular Iced Coffee.
How to #BrewItUp
It is really easy to make the Brew Over Ice coffee or tea.
I can now relax and enjoy my hammock with an ice cold drink on a hot day!
