The post is brought to you by Wantable.
I’m sure that most of you are familiar with the subscription box craze. If you aren’t, you need to check it out. You can sign up for all kinds of subscription-based monthly mailings. There are ones for your baby, your pets, your man, you… clothes, food, wine, handmade items, makeup; pretty much anything you can think of can be sent to you on a monthly basis. The fun thing about these boxes is that although you know the theme of the box, you don’t know exactly what you are going to get. This allows you to be surprised and try new things every month.
I have been wanting to try one of these subscription boxes but never found one that I was REALLY interested in receiving. Although I like surprises, I wasn’t sure I wanted to pay every month and not know what I was going to get. What if I didn’t like it? What if I thought it was a waste of money? Well, then I came across Wantable and their intimates box. I saw the following post on Instagram:
Everything looked so cute and comfy! I thought “now this is something I would like to try” and I went to their site to find out more.
This is what I found out… Wantable is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and launched in August of 2012. They have three box categories to choose from:
- Makeup: 4 to 5 luxury brand items per personalized box
- Accessories: 3 to 4 on-trend pieces per personalized box
- Intimates: 4 to 5 premium essentials per personalized box
They provide subscribers with full-sized products (no samples here!) and every box they send is different based on each subscriber’s unique profile. The subscription is $36/month or you can purchase a single box for $40. Shipping is always free and you can cancel, return, skip a month, or update your beauty/style profile at any time!
My experience with Wantable
After checking out their site, I was intrigued by the idea that each box is tailored to the subscriber. I went back to Instagram and checked out other people’s posts with the tag #wantable or #wantableintimates and found that I didn’t see 2 boxes that were the same! Some of the intimates boxes weren’t for me, and others were right up my alley! I decided I wanted to sign up.
I created an account on their site and they led me through various questions about my sizing, and interests in intimate clothing. Here is one of the screens asking for information:
If you click on the photo you will see that they give you the different options of what you may receive in your box. You can indicate whether you love it, like it or dislike it. If you choose dislike, you will not receive any of those intimates in your monthly box. I said that I disliked accessories, socks and shapewear. Then they asked me more specifics for some of the options:
Lastly, they asked me about style and color preferences. All of my answers go into my unique profile, and this profile is used to create my box each month. Want to see what they created for me for June?
My June Wantable intimates box
I love comfortable intimates without too much pattern, but I still like to get some items that are a little sexy. I think they did an awesome job, don’t you?
One of my favorite parts of the Wantable subscription is that it is definitely worth the price. My June box had $78 worth of intimate apparel for only $40 (or $36 if you get the monthly subscription).
Get a subscription of your own
If you are looking to spice up your intimate apparel (and maybe your marriage), you should get a Wantable intimates subscription for yourself (or your wife).
Intimates aren’t your thing? Don’t forget that they also have a makeup subscription box and an accessories box.
What do you think? Is the Wantable box something you may want to try? Which one would you like to get… intimates, makeup, or accesssories?
