You may have noticed that I don’t put many DIY craft projects on this site – okay, there are actually none. There is a reason for that: I am not a very crafty person. I love looking at ideas on Pinterest and dreaming of doing the projects on my own, but I don’t really try DIY crafts of my own.
There is one thing in my bathroom that really bothers me and it has motivated me to try a DIY project. I don’t have a toothbrush holder. I just put my toothbrush in a small kitchen glass and put the toothpaste on the (almost non-existent) counter. I decided that I could do something about this and set out to come up with an easy idea that didn’t involve a store-bought toothbrush holder.
How to make a mason jar toothbrush holder
Since this is my first crafty DIY home project, I decided to make it as easy as I possibly could… and I did! This is crazy easy and can be completed in less than 5 minutes. I purchased my supplies at Michael’s, but you can also find them online at Amazon (affiliate links below).
- I removed the mason jar lids since we wanted to use the jars as water glasses. However, if you do not want to use them as glasses, you could take the circular lid insert out and keep the outer ring on top of the jar for more decoration.
- Write Mr and Mrs on the chalkboard labels. It may take a few tries to get it to look like what you want… that is what is great about the erasable chalk – it just wipes off!
- You could also choose to write your names, or His and Hers. If you just use one jar, you could put your last name or initial, or maybe write the word ‘smile’.
- Peel the labels off the backing and center on the side of the jar with no raised writing on it. Press firmly to adhere to jar.
Get back your wedding day smiles
As you can see in the photo above, my husband and I had beautiful white smiles on our wedding day! I’m sure most of you did as well. My smile has never looked as good as it did on that day. I’d love to get it back, but I don’t like spending the time or money. Recently, while shopping at Walmart, I discovered Colgate® Optic White® Express White in the toothpaste aisle. The shiny red boxes really caught my attention!
After reading the box, I found that I could get whiter teeth in just three days*. Plus, I didn’t have to do any extra work – all I had to do was brush my teeth! How is it possible for this toothpaste to give you a whiter smile in just 3 days? Well, Colgate® Optic White® Express White has twice the professionally recommended whitening ingredient** – Hydrogen Peroxide.
Both my husband and I look forward to getting our wedding white smiles back. Now Colgate® Optic White® Express White toothpaste will be the only toothpaste in our Mr & Mrs mason jar toothbrush holders!
How about you? Do you want your wedding smile back? Will you be adding Colgate® Optic White® Express White to your brushing routine?
