The Lexington Public Library (LPL)encourages cardholders to use I.L.L. to request books and magazine articles we do not own. To see if the item is available at the Central Library or one of our branches please check our catalog or call the library nearest you. If LPL does not own the item, complete the online I.L.L. form. Once you have placed your request, you can check its status, or ask for an extension of the loan period (renewal).
Here is a link for those of you with a Lexington Libary Card.
All libraries offer this service. I have done this several different times in the cities I’ve lived in over the years. Just ask the librarian at your local branch. Usually there is a card you fill out so they can request the book for you!
****Did you know you don’t have to live in Lexington to get a Fayette County Libary Card? Here are the details for getting a card for non Lexington residents. (No fee of course!)
