As September is coming to a close, you are probably looking forward to the falling leaves and dressing up for Halloween. However, if you plan to host Thanksgiving at your house this year, you should really start getting organized now. Hosting family and friends for Thanksgiving dinner can be a very stressful undertaking!
Earlier in the summer, I wrote about how certain foods remind me of moments in my life. The same is true of music. When I’m listening to the radio and a song from college comes on, I can almost smell the cheap beer, smoke and heavy cologne of late-night parties. Or I can feel the heartbreak of former loves and the comforting touch of my friends. It is amazing how your senses are so in tune with your memories.
Not too long ago, I introduced our dog Honey to Natural Balance treats and shared our experience with you here on the blog. We still buy these treats for her since she loved them so much. When Natural Balance wanted me to check out their Natural Balance Delectable Delights Wet Cups, I think I was more […]
One easy way to make your gifts look more exciting is to add Christmas ornaments on them. What is great about this, is that you are giving two gifts in one! What is even better? You don’t have to limit yourself to using them only during the holidays. Especially if you can find a good assortment of ornaments.
Keeping up with an active dog can get challenging. Dogs do well in environments where they have plenty of things to do. I remember when our dog, Honey, was younger, she would get bored easily and then get destructive. I have the furniture to prove it! Tomorrow is the beginning of a new month, and my husband and I are packing up the house to move. We sold our house and closing is on August 6. We don’t want to leave everything to the last minute, so we are trying to pack up a bit each week. To help keep us […]
You may not know this, but when a loved one is undergoing cancer treatment, you are not able to bring them flowers to brighten their mood. This is because plants and flowers can harbor fungal spores that place patients at risk for infection. Cancer patients are very susceptible to infections due to a compromised immune system from their illness and chemotherapy.
Today’s quote comes from a poem by Roy Croft entitled “Love.” I love this poem and my husband and I included it in our wedding program. Below the poem are two links so that you may download the free 8×10 printable in either blue or pink. I hope you enjoy! I love you, Not only […]
