My husband and I both love going to warm locations for our vacations. We enjoy the beach and being outside. The last 6 years we have gone to the NJ shore in the summer since my parents rented a house for a week. However, I’d like to go someplace warm and sunny during the fall or winter. A nice getaway from the cold weather here in Pennsylvania.
Making new vacation traditions
I really like the idea of having a tradition when it comes to vacations – someplace you visit as often as possible and spend time with one another alone, or with family. Today I am going to share 3 fun adventures I think would become traditions if we made Gulf County Florida (GCFL) our traditional vacation destination.
Horseback riding on the beach
This would combine two things my husband and I love: the beach and horseback riding! It seems like such a fun way to relax and take in the views. Imagine going at sunset and how beautiful the sky would be over the water. A package for couples would be perfect for us.
Camping on the beach
Speaking of the beach at night, GCFL beaches allow campfires and tent camping. I’m not a huge fan of camping, but this looks amazing, doesn’t it? Seems so romantic, and an adventure my husband and I would never forget.
Kayaking through the Dead Lakes
I’d love to get a local guide to take us on an tour through the winding habitat of the Dead Lakes. Mossy cypress trees and stumps of trees forgotten cover the lakes making it feel like a different world. There is also a park with fishing, hiking and more.
