Looking for a romantic trip for you and your spouse? Look no further! Puerto Rico has 270 miles of coastline and is featured in the Top 10 beaches from Travel Channel. Plus, it is so easy to travel to… no need for a passport or foreign money. Just hop on a plane and go to one of the most romantic places to visit!
Here is my list of the top 5 romantic things I would like to do with my spouse when we visit Puerto Rico:
1. Take a romantic walk
The cobblestone streets of Paseo de la Princesa in Old San Juan make for a lovely evening stroll through the city. See historic sites lit up at night and enjoy each other’s company.
2. Swim in a waterfall
I’ve always wanted to do this, and Puerto Rico seems like a wonderful place to try it out. Located in the northeastern mountains of the island, El Yunque National Rainforest is the only tropical rain forest in the U.S. National Forest system. Check out the video above and you will want to visit this rainforest yourself!
3. Soak up the sun
One of the best places to lay on the beach and soak up some sun is Playa Flamenco. It is also known for its excellent swimming and diving, this is a great place to hold hands and walk on the beach!
4. Go hiking
Take in some breathtaking views while hiking the El Toro trails to the summit of Pico El Toro. At nearly 3500 ft above sea level, you can see the whole island and the surrounding beautiful waters below.
5. Salsa dance
What could be more sexy than salsa dancing? Puerto Rico’s Nuyorican Café is the place to be for salsa. Don’t know how? They offer lessons throughout the week. Who doesn’t want to dirty dance with their spouse?
